2nd Annual Kids-a-Palooza

Following up on the widely successful Block-a-Palooza, People Incorporated and the Narrows Center for the Arts are partnering once again to present the 2nd Annual Kids-a-Palooza on Sunday, September 28th from 1-5 pm. Six different organizations will be showcasing their venues presenting an afternoon of fun and educational activities for the whole family. The event will showcase the downtown area and the great organizations that help make Fall River a great city. Two lucky participants who visit all venues and have their Kids-a-Palooza map stamped will have the chance to win either an iPad or Xbox! Activities List at the various venues: People Incorporated – 4 South Main Street Finger print art project, a project with toddlers creating their own apple trees, obstacle course, Play Dough station, storytelling with props and puppets and many other fun and educational activities Toe Jam Puppet Band perform 3:30-4:30 Greater Fall River RE-CREATION – 72 Bank Street Kickboxing demo-Fitness Fusion, boxing demo-Striking Beauties, DJ by Matt Oliveira, bike safety by Julianne Kelly, Free bike helmets (limited quantity) from BMC HealthNet, face painting by Wendy Garf-Lipp Fall River Public Library – 104 North Main Street Supervisor of Children’s Services, David Mello, will be on the front lawn of the Library to share some of his favorite children’s stories with puppets, song and plenty of audience participation! Families are welcome to bring a blanket to spread out to sit back and enjoy the fun. Rua-Dumont-Audet Insurance Agency – 155 North Main Street Fall River Fire Department Smoke House, face painting, coloring and free popcorn Fall River YMCA – 199 North Main Street (Open until 4 on that day) YMCA will offer the opportunity for families to jump in the pool for open swim, climb the rock wall, play games in the gym (such as minute to win it) and participate in craft activities Children’s Museum of Greater Fall River – 441 North Main Street The CMGFR will have a fun filled afternoon with Laughing Yoga and Music with children’s author Joanie Woodward, Bubble master Peter Belanger. The Narrows Center for the Arts will be presenting African drumming with Issa Coulibaly and company at the CMGFR from 2:00-3:00. Youth Musical Theater Corp. will perform for 3 to 4:00pm. Outdoor fun for Kids will include Arts and Crafts, Science Fun, snow cones and popcorn.
