Girls, Guns and Glory’s Tribute to Hank Williams

Boston’s rising stars, Girls, Guns and Glory returned to the Narrows with their annual tribute to the Godfather of country music, Hank Williams on Saturday, January 2nd. This performance helped keep the New Year’s spirit alive throughout the weekend.

For those of you are not familiar with GGG, their music is a mix of old school country, early rock ‘n’ roll and blues. The band includes Ward Hayden on acoustic guitar and lead vocals, J. Ellis Kiggans on drums, Chris Hersch on electric guitar, banjo and vocals, and Paul Dilley on upright and electric bass and vocals. They seek inspiration from Hank Williams, Johnny Cash and Johnny Horton classics. GGG has garnered four Boston Music Awards (BMA).

Girls, Guns and Glory is a local favorite of the Narrows Center. Click here to read a review of their last performance in Fall River back in June.
