A musician’s musician, John Jorgenson founded the Desert Rose Band with Chris Hillman, played guitar for Elton John, and is an international expert on ‘gypsy jazz,’ even playing gypsy jazz founder Django Reinhardt in a film with Charlize Theron and Penelope Cruz (the movie’s called Head in the Clouds and was released in 2005).
