SOLD OUT American Crossroads: David Bromberg, David Hidalgo & Larry Campbell 1/29/15

Three of America’s most admired musicians meet for an evening of musical diversity. David Bromberg ‘ The first to successfully meld blues, country, bluegrass, gospel, Dixieland jazz, folk and rock into a genre now known as Americana, David began his career in the mid sixties in the coffee houses of New York’s Greenwich Village. David became a session guitarist for Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, John Prine, Carly Simon, Ringo Starr and others. In 1970 he performed an unannounced set at the Isle of Wight Festival for 400,000 receiving four encores. David subsequently signed with Columbia Records embarking on a career as bandleader and releasing over a dozen albums. David Hidalgo ‘ Singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist David Hidalgo co-founded the award-winning band Los Lobos in 1973. He has performed internationally with the group for over forty years and released twenty albums. Hidalgo is also well known for his high profile associations with Tom Waits, Bob Dylan and Paul Simon as well as his side projects, the Latin Playboys and Los Super Seven. Like Bromberg, Hidalgo effortlessly moves between genres. Comfortable in any setting and on virtually any instrument, he is a master of blues, rock and roll, Norteno, Tex-Mex, country, folk and r & b. Larry Campbell ‘ Larry is well known in musical circles, initially as the instrumental wizard behind Bob Dylan’s Never Ending Tour and later as the musical director and three-time Grammy-winning producer for Levon Helm. Campbell’s musical dexterity is legendary and won him a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Americana Music Association. Larry stays busy producing albums for Garland Jefferies, the Steep Canyon Rangers, David Bromberg and Hot Tuna. He also appears with Phil Lesh and Friends, Hot Tuna and is recording and performing with his wife, singer Teresa Williams. This will be an unscripted evening of spontaneity, discovery and musical virtuosity by three American music masters.
