‘School Arts 2007’ is the Second Annual School Arts Show featuring the faculty and staff of the Fall River Public Schools. This exhibition will increase community awareness to the creativity and the visual and performing artistry of the faculty and staff of the public school system. This year’s show will feature ceramics by Brenda Gaudette; sculpture by Timothy Jewell; paintings by Susan Laravee, Billie Medeiros, Rochelle Pettenati, and Melissa Smith; weavings by Sondra Arnold; photography by Bill Brisk; drawings by Marilee Rose, Susan Shea, and Debbie Eckersley; and many others. . . Rochelle Pettenati’s idea of showcasing the talents of the Fall River Public Schools’ teachers and staff encourages students to continue to be life-long learners and to share the gift of art and music with the community. The teaching community hopes to continue this tradition well into the future. The opening reception is on Thursday, March 1st 2007, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. and will feature talented musicians, both teachers and staff members, performing original pieces and well-recognized standards. All are cordially invited to attend this free event. Refreshments will be served.
