Denim & Soul: Girls Guns and Glory Rock the House

A little bit country, a little bit rock n roll, and easily my favorite performance thus far, Girls Guns and Glory blew the roof off Saturday night and they did it in style. Ward Hayden, lead vocalist and guitarist, with the voice of a southern Lyle Lovett and the dance moves of Elvis Presley, knew exactly how to turn the audience on.

Drummer Josh Kiggans and bass player Paul Dilley kept the crowd on beat with their high energy and groovy rhythm. Lead guitarist, Chris Hersch proved to be no stranger to vocals, wooing us with a quirky song about truck driving, which reminds me. A Successful Opening Reception of The Fall River Portraits Exhibition

We couldn’t have asked for a better turnout on Saturday afternoon at the opening reception of our most recent art exhibit. The Fall River Portraits attracted a joyful crowd of friends, family, faculty members and other curious observers, who filed in to view the gallery and enjoy some good food and music. The photographs were taken by 50 different individuals from B.M.C. Durfee High School, Resiliency Preparatory School, UMass Dartmouth, and Senior Champion volunteers with the Healthy Cities Initiative. Their ages range from 14 to 80 years old. Continue reading
