Masks and costumes are the tools of the theater. They disguise and transform the actors who wear them beneath layers of fabric, sequins, paper mache and, of course, imagination.
Curtain Call celebrates the unique and expressive art of the theater through the work of two local designers for the stage, costume designer Lynne Wilkert and mask maker David R. Mello. The exhibit will feature pieces used in actual performance productions as well as decorative work inspired by the theater.
An opening reception will take place on Saturday, August 2nd from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. Admission is free. The public is cordially invited.
