While stuck in bumper to bumper traffic, exhibition curator and artist, Sue Aygarn-Kowalski saw a sticker that read: Anyone who says you can’t buy love, never had a puppy. This exhibition was inspired by that moment. ‘Perhaps, when the eyes of animals look back at us, we realize that we share this space we collectively call home,’ says the artist.

‘Modest to Majestic – the essence of the animal spirit’ will be on exhibition in the Narrows Gallery October 30 – December 18, 2010. Sixteen artists working in acrylic, clay, fiber, glass, mixed media, metal, oil and resin recreate their own relationship with the animal kingdom.
