The Art of Work, Textiles and the American Dream

March 31, 2018 - May 12, 2018
Reception: May 5, 2018
Deborah Baronas

This exhibition is about the textile workers and mills that are such an enduring part of our history and landscape.

The artwork itself explores the mills and workers as well as the off-job recreation, and even brings to light the flowers apparently grown in the windows to soften the harsh realities of the factory floor.

It is an art of the workers and immigrants and a part of the American Dream that had both rough and beautiful moments.
