Artist Lasse Antonsen will greet visitors today, Sunday, December 20th, on the final day of the exhibition Theatrum Naturae et Artis which draws us into the enchanted realm of 18th century Cabinets of Curiosity and the nostalgic world of 19th Century Natural History Museums. On view are cabinets displaying collections of Yucca plants, rare Coco-de-Mers, and artificial orchid plants from China. Many other objects are also on view, including the seven vertebrae of a giraffe’s neck, Alligator Gars, and a wall display of Kingfishers. Theatrum Naturae et Artis has been on exhibition in the Narrows Gallery since November 5 and ends today, December 20, 2009.

The Narrows Gallery is located in the Narrows Center for the Arts, 16 Anawan Street, Fall River, MA. Gallery Hours are Wednesday ‘ Saturday, noon ‘ 5:00 and by appointment. Admission is free during regular Gallery Hours. All concert ticket-holders are welcome to view the exhibition on performance night.
